The Ultimate Guide to Nailing Your Engagement Session

Why Should we do an engagement session?

All of my wedding packages include an engagement session. It is important to me to build a relationship with you and get to know both you and your partner. I feel like this adds to the wedding experience and helps you feel comfortable and prepared for your wedding day.

1. Practice makes perfect! Building your confidence in front of the camera before your wedding day is always a good idea.

2. Taking photos that aren't iPhone selfies are the best way to cherish and remember this time before you married the love of your life.

3. Awesome photos for your save the dates, social media and your wedding website!

The best types of engagement sessions:

  • This session is meant to document a day in the life of a typical date night that you love to share together. Let's hang out in your home, on your back porch or your favorite dive bar around the corner. We will seek out amazing light, and all the nooks that are familiar to you.

  • Have you always wanted to have professional photos taken at a Tigers Baseball game or to Mackinac Island? Your engagement session is the way to get a session done in a place you have always dreamed of doing things that you love.

  • Do you dream of having a session done together on a sailboat in Key West, or the Red Rocks of Sedona? This session is for you. I will work with you to plan the perfect locations and timeline to hit all the unique and cool spots that you have always wanted to travel to. Let's start dreaming and traveling together
