Baby Noah was literally the perfect little man during our session. He did not cry once and was all about hanging out on fluffy blankets and pillows. His parents got an opportunity to get their first family photos since they welcomed Noah into the world 6 weeks ago.
I do not claim to be a newborn photographer, but I do claim to be able to capture beautiful moments that naturally unfold between people who love each other. Newborn portraits to me are capturing the new-ness of families adding members. There are many emotions that happen when you become a parents, a lot is unknown and sometimes it is scary as new parents start their journey together with their new little one. Most of them time though they are so proud of their little one and so in love with them that all fears are casted away once their new baby yawns, toots or even just sleeps slightly.
It was a pleasure to do Baby Noahs lifestyle session and newborn portraits and I definitely hope some of my close friends start to have babies so I can do more in-home sessions just like this one. It was a refreshing change from weddings and engagements.
Happy Sunday everyone! The air is getting cooler and the leaves are slowly changing; my favorite time of being a photographer is finally here! This week I got the opportunity to spend time with two of my favorite friends and their brand new son in Mt. Pleasant.
Their little bundle of joy is thriving and Elijah is seriously the cutest! He is such a huge blessing and also the easiest baby I have ever shot! At 1 month old he definitely is in love with me, so much so, he blew out his diaper after the first few pictures when I was adjusting my settings! I was cracking up and in his month of being born it was declared his biggest bathroom break, thus far of his life. Thank you Elijah for showing your enthusiasm for your newborn photos. haha!
Elijah, you are so loved and I can't wait to watch you grow into a young man; but don't grow up too fast. So many people have waited for you to enter the world. You are the answer to so many prayers and I know your parents and your furry brother, Dexter, completely adore you. I can't wait to spend more time with you soon and spoil you with kisses, snuggles and hugs every time I see you!
The Seybert Family have been life long friends of mine and when Aaron and his wife Veronica asked if I would take photos of their newest addition it was clearly a no brainer. I love the Seybert's beautiful landscaping and I have memories in every area of their land, from going down their big hill in the back yard on sleds and wagons, to learning how to ride my bike in their driveway. I spent the evening getting to know their beautiful little one and hearing about how everyone is growing up in their family. It is so fun being able to play such an intricate part of my friends' and their families lives when babies are born, families grow and marriages happen it so important to have the right photographer to capture those special life changing moments.
... and now here comes the baby cuteness. Here is Miss Ginny <3
After a freezing cold weather, and a pretty quite winter season for my photography; I was overjoyed when one of my running friends contacted me about taking her son’s three-year-old birthday photographs. Owen is one of the most delightful three-year-old boys I have ever met. He was full of energy and loving all the attention while we were there. He is most definitely the best-dressed kid on the block and his big blue eyes just add to his adorable personality. Happy Birthday Owen! It was so much fun to spend the morning with you, Jake, and your parents!
