Wow, this season of seniors has been an absolute BLAST! Getting to know so many seniors in and around Mt. Pleasant has been very enjoyable. As my senior sessions are winding down I am able to enjoy the beautiful month of October outside with all of the beauty it has to offer. I had the pleasure of shooting Miss Averi's senior session this month and WOW, was she beautiful! Averi is a Sacred Heart Academy senior and plays volleyball and basketball. She is a great athlete but an even better person. She is so fun to be around and her smile and easy going attitude make her so fun to interact with. Thank you Averi for letting me spend the afternoon with you. You are such a beautiful young woman and I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to get to know you. I know that you will do amazing things you in your life and I look forward to seeing all the lives that you impact through your future decisions and the career path you choose. -Liz xoxo
Being a Michigander, we all know that beer is a part of our culture. We have all spent time with friends and family around a fire, drinking a beer during a hot summer day at the lake. We also have experienced the moment after work when we watch the bartender pour a tall one out of the tap. A real Michigander truly knows a good pour from a bad pour; and from a young age we watched our family members perfectly tilt a glass and watch the smooth liquid come out of the bottle to form the perfect; or not so perfect, head of foam in their glass.
In search of the perfect pale ale, pilsner, porter, and stouts, many Michiganders flock to Frankenmuth Brewery for their favorite beverage. It is the oldest microbrewery in Michigan and set the stage for Greg and Sara’s wedding day. Old Detroit Muscle, Ground Rule Dubbel, and the Oh My Quad were all on tap, and more kegs were ready if Greg and Sara gave the signal.
Sara and Greg would describe some of their favorite things in life to be their two dogs, being active outside, drinking craft beer and obviously each other. Greg and Sara couldn't have asked for a better Friday afternoon in September to exchange their vows on the rooftop terrace. The sunny, blue skies, shone brightly while they exchanged their vows; and the sunset cast a picturesque backdrop of the Cass River and the beautiful covered bridge in the distance.
The smell of beer dancing through the building added a fitting aroma to the reception. All their closest family and friends spent the evening drinking, dancing and laughing together in celebration of the love that Greg and Sara have for each other. Handmade sunflower centerpieces and decor were lovingly sprinkled throughout the space by Sara's mom. One of my favorite pieces to Sara and Greg’s day were the unique Michigan made products and vendors that were carefully selected. Greg and Sara love supporting local businesses. Michigan was at the center of their day from their food being locally sourced, guests receiving homemade strawberry jam picked by Sara and her mom; to the cake being created by Sara’s favorite baker in town.
Sara and Greg, thank you for letting me be a part of your day.
I hope you enjoy all the authentic Michigan made products within this blog! Cheers!
I had the wonderful pleasure of taking Brendin and Brianna Becker's photo this month. We had a great time on and around their family's property, and even got to include their loved pets in their pictures. Bri and Brendin I hope that your senior year is full of memories and lots of laughter. Have fun and enjoy this beautiful time in your lives. Liz xoxo
