In Mt. Pleasant, on Pickard Street, I met one of my closest friends, Caitlin, in a small cinder block building, called Doozie's Ice Cream Place. That was nearly 10 years ago and in those 10 years Caitlin and I have shared some of life's most memorable moments that include being neighbors, celebrating weddings, drinking too much and so many more. Caitlin is one of the most genuine, free spirited, and best friends that I know. Oh, and she know how to throw one heck of a wedding! Last summer, I celebrated by her side in Leland, Michigan for a fun filled weekend. I wept as I watched her dance with her dad and danced the night away under the northern Michigan stars with all our friends
When Caitlin asked me to take her one year anniversary photos with Max; I couldn't say no. Max was the perfect addition to Caitlin's life. They compliment each other and are best of friends. During their last year of marriage I have watched them fall deeper in love together. I asked Max what his biggest lesson learned his first year of marriage and he simply said, "I wish I had done it sooner." ..... (I know right! How adorable and perfect!) During their anniversary session we laughed our way through cutting their cake and doing ballerina twirls in the sunset; it was literally perfect. Happy Anniversary Max and Caitlin Lovejoy. I wish you many more years of making beautiful memories together!
Kevin & Selin got married on Saturday June 30th. Their wedding reception was at the Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor center just outside of Kalamazoo. While the temperatures rose the beautiful woods were captivating as Kevin and Selin became husband and wife. Their reception was located at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts being surrounded by all of their family and friends in the atrium of the institute.
Kevin and Selin's portraits have been some of my favorite of the wedding season and their sunset photos were absolutely breathtaking. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from their wedding day. Cheers!

Cree and Christian married each other on the Blue Bridge in Grand Rapids, MI followed by a beautiful, intimate backyard wedding. The morning started off with lots of smile and laughter as Cree's closest friends gathered in a hotel room to watch her transform into the most beautiful bride. When asked about Cree's something old, new, borrowed something blue; my favorite part was when she said the blue bridge. Cree also had me cracking up as she had special jewelry and shoes just for photographs and not to actually wear. haha!
Cree and Christian's relationship is centered around their faith and their respect for each other. All day long you could witness the love that the two of them share for one another. I captured many moments of Christian just staring at Cree as she soaked in the love she felt being surround by all her family and friends. I hope that you enjoy the images from the beautiful day and many more years of wedded bliss!
